This grant is for service businesses and nonprofits — not online shops.
Appointment scheduling, booking embeds, contact forms, and donation buttons are all included. What we can't do for free is anything that sells products: no shopping carts, product checkout, inventory, or payment processing for goods. If your business needs an online store, that's a build we're happy to do — through our regular web services, not the grant.

The Small Business Website Grant is a juried program: one business is selected on the 1st of each month by the Castella Media Group team based on the application — no purchase necessary, applying is free, and selection is not random. One application per business; applications remain in consideration for three months. Open to service-based businesses and nonprofits in the United States. The grant covers design and build of a business website of up to five pages, plus hosting, HTTPS, domain registration, a professional email address, contact/booking/donation forms, and small content updates for as long as the site remains with us — free forever, with no monthly fee, no contract, and no long-term commitment. E-commerce functionality is not included: the grant does not cover online stores, shopping carts, product checkout, inventory, or payment processing for goods; those builds are available through our regular paid services. Larger redesigns and new functionality are quoted separately. In return, winners agree to be featured in a Castella Media Group case study and to give us a shoutout — tell your friends and customers who built your site.

How is the winner chosen?
This is a juried grant, not a raffle. On the 1st of every month, our team reviews every application and selects the business where a new website would make the biggest difference. We look at your story, your business, and how much impact a professional web presence would have. Applying is always free.
Who can apply for the free website grant?
Any small service-based business or nonprofit in the United States can apply — one application per business. Think salons, contractors, studios, practices, community organizations. We give extra weight to businesses in the greater Philadelphia region (Montgomery County, Bucks County, and the city itself) because that's home, but we've built for businesses across the country. If your business is primarily an online shop selling products, the grant isn't the right fit — see the next question.
Can I get an online store through the grant?
No — this is the one hard line. The grant covers service websites: your pages, appointment scheduling and booking, contact forms, and donation acceptance for nonprofits. It can't cover anything that sells products — no shopping carts, product checkout, inventory, or payment processing for goods. Running a web shop is real ongoing work, and we can't do it for free. If you need one, we're happy to build it as part of our regular paid web services.
What kind of website do winners get?
A professionally designed business website of up to five pages — home, services, about, contact, and one more of your choice — built the same way we build for our paying clients. That includes mobile-friendly design, HTTPS security, a professional email address like info@yourbusiness.com, contact and booking forms, and local SEO fundamentals. E-commerce (shopping carts, checkout, inventory) isn't included.
What happens if I don't win?
Your application stays in the pool for three months, so you're automatically considered again each month. You can also reapply after that, or reach out any time — we're happy to talk about what we'd build for your business.
What do you want in return?
A shoutout. If we build your website, tell your friends and customers about us, and let us share your story as a case study on our blog. That's it — no monthly fee, no contract, no long-term commitment. We don't do those.
