We’re happy to welcome Social Space as a new client. Based in Yeadon, PA, Social Space operates two event venues facing each other across Church Lane — part of the family of small businesses across the Philadelphia area we support with web design and ongoing digital marketing. If the name Harlem sounds familiar, it should: Social Space joins SS Wedding Ceremonies and Harlem’s Hair Care in the block of Yeadon businesses Harlem has built on Church Lane.
Two Venues, One Story
Social Space has been hosting celebrations since 2017, and the concept is refreshingly simple: a great room, thoughtfully prepared, that lets the day belong entirely to the people in it.
There are two rooms to choose from:
- The Original (717 Church Lane) — an airy 1,500 sq ft space with industrial tin ceilings, hanging paper lanterns, and a full prep kitchen. Seats 75, holds 100 standing.
- SS Too (714 Church Lane) — the intimate 750 sq ft sister space directly across the street, with crystal lighting and warm wood floors. Seats 50, holds 65 standing.
Both venues are open seven days a week and host weddings, ceremonies, baby and bridal showers, birthdays, repasts, and everything in between. Guests bring their own caterer, decorator, and vision; Social Space brings the canvas.
A Blank Canvas That Works for Any Celebration
What makes Social Space work for so many different events is the same thing that makes it easy to book: the rooms come with the working bones of a beautiful event — tables, chairs, prep areas, sound — without locking hosts into packages they don’t need. A quinceañera, an 80th birthday, and a wedding reception can all live in the same room in the same week, each looking completely different.
